Shawn and Amanda’s modern farm wedding started with a calm morning. 4 Lucky Ducks Farm, while not a wedding venue typically, made for a quaint and stylish location for their intimate wedding day. This beautiful bed & breakfast belonged to Shawn and Amanda’s boss, Angela. She was so kind to host them and their families on her farm/AirBnB getaway.
Amanda got ready in the cottage just up the hill. For the ceremony, they set up chairs in the stables. And the reception took place in a tent just off the open-air patio attached to the main house. And in a field behind it all live two fluffy mini cows named Coconut and Cashew. Of course I spent plenty of time catching shots and giving head scratches to these adorable “field puppies” throughout the day.
But even more adorable than these floofy cows was Shawn and Amanda’s love for one another. Because the wedding was intimate (about 50 or less of their closest family and friends) we had so much time for portraits around the property! And these two KILLED it at posing. We walked through a few of my go-to poses before I quickly picked up their style. And soon enough, we were creating beautiful portraits with a dash of country flair mixed with a sprinkle of classic elegance.
As you scroll through their images, you’ll likely be as mesmerized as I was by Amanda’s crystal blue eyes and Shawn’s polished cowboy swagger. They couldn’t have been two kinder souls to work with. It was truly an honor to spend this day with them and capture all their beautiful memories and modern farm wedding details.
I was so delighted to serve as Shawn and Amanda’s lone associate shooter as part of the Compass Studios team!
