The weddings that stay closest to my heart are the ones where I feel like fast friends with the bride and groom. That’s usually easy with my ENP couples, but second shooting can feel a bit more removed sometimes. Not with Gracie Withers’ couples, though! I had the honor of associate shooting for Gracie’s sweet childhood friend and client Morgan, and her lovely groom Jackie for their Fox Meadow Barn wedding.

Gracie had just welcomed home her baby girl, so I got to tap in to love on this sweet couple on their special day on her behalf. From the moment I walked into Morgan’s hotel room, I felt the warmth and love in the room between her and her bridesmaids. Everyone was relaxed but so excited.

The good vibes continued when I worked with Jackie to get his Getting Ready portraits and set him up at the First Look location. Fox Meadow Barn boasts gorgeous open fields, but just a short drive to a property near the wedding venue gave us stunning fall foliage to backdrop their First Look. Jackie reacted appropriately stunned at the first glance at his gorgeous bride. They then shared sweet, tearful moments as they read aloud their vows to one another before the ceremony.

The beautiful, glowing fall day continued with their sweet bridal party arriving for portraits. Morgan’s bridesmaids impressed me so much. They were all giddy for the happy couple, and extremely supportive and helpful! And Jackie’s groomsmen were perfectly pleasant. Aside, his best man looked to me to resemble Lin-Manuel Miranda (luckily he gets that a lot because — as a huge Hamilton fan — I couldn’t help but mention it aloud).

Overall, the ceremony to the reception was perfectly lovely for Morgan and Jackie. They achieved a perfect fall event, mixing charming rustic autumn details with a touch of elegant gold decor. And Fox Meadow Barn made for the perfect, versatile wedding venue for them to tie the knot. Everyone had so much fun. And I’m so excited to finally share the highlights from their special day.
