ENGAGED // Sarah + John’s Country Club Engagement Session

filed in

Can we normalize doing engagement sessions at your future wedding venue? Because sometimes a photographer just can’t get enough of a beautiful spot with a stellar staff! This Washington Golf and Country Club engagement session was just the same. John and Sarah are getting married here a week before Christmas. And I can only imagine it is just as charming decked in holly as it is when adorned in glowy, springtime sun.

But even more charming than the location was this future bride and groom. John and Sarah have been together for about a decade, and they were just as adoring of each other as couples I’ve worked with that are barely breaching their second year together. It just went to show that true love does grow even sweeter with time.

They met at a bar, where John swooped in to “rescue” Sarah from a guy who was lingering too long. One thing led to another, and soon enough they were on a beach in North Carolina with John on one knee proposing. Now I know 10 years together has a LOT more memories packed into that transition, but the thing I love most about John and Sarah is their connection today. John is very sweet, good with words, and always so thoughtful towards Sarah. As Sarah and I exchanged stories, I realized that her personality matches mine pretty closely – while John’s demeanor reminded so much of my fiancé. No wonder they made such a natural fit to become an ENP Bride and Groom!

And if that isn’t enough to impress you about these two, you might be shocked to learn that the day before these two tie the knot, Sarah will be walking to graduate from an accellerated 2nd degree nursing program!! Talk about a go-getter… planning a wedding and finalizing her degree in one big swoop.

I can’t wait to continue getting to know these two and sharing this little piece of their story with you all. I hope you enjoy a little peak at some of my favorites from their engagement session, as I start counting down with anticipation to getting them in front of my camera again in December!!
