This is my first blog post about my work as a Willow Britt Studios associate! You may be surprised to know that I am not only a wedding photographer under my own brand here at ENP. But I also associate shoot for a fine art, film-inspired photography studio based in Richmond, VA. This Georgetown engagement session was so special for me. Because it was my first time working with my very own Willow Britt couple!
Don proposed to Rylie in a secluded garden at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in the heart of Georgetown. In her tri-stone ring, each diamond on the sides belonged to Rylie’s mother and grandmother. Another detail I loved about her ring is the tiny blue birthstone in the setting. Next to that, they will add stones in the setting when their family grows. I melted when they shared that with me!
Their Georgetown engagement session was just overall perfect — the light, the backdrops, the couple. They did so great posing together, because they quickly warmed up and TRUSTED me. I just get so excited when a couple trusts my vision and lets me pose them in every crazy way! They know that I’m producing beautiful images that brings out their true selves even if being on camera feels awkward at first. This session is proof of what can be created when I get into my rhythm with a new couple.
We got so much variety and had so much fun. I feel like the session flew right by. Before we knew it, sunset was quickly upon us. Though we could have kept going, the light said “that’s enough.” Ha!
It was so great to work with this couple before I got to shoot their wedding in the following months. I’ll share more from their big day soon, as well! But for now, enjoy these sweet love birds.
